"My wife confessed - she doesn't like smoked meat! Can anyone recommend a good divorce lawyer?"
I understand the for better or worse, sickness or health - but this crosses a line. How could she keep this to herself for 30 years?! It ought to be in the Bible - in red! Divorce should be considered scriptural if she doesn't like BBQ! If she wasn't so darned beautiful...
Whitt's has been a mainstay in this area for years and finally came to Smyrna. Due to aforementioned marital discord, I tend to visit here solo. I would like to go on record as saying they should have a special one night of the week for men in my situation. I'm sure there are more. If you can have a "Ladies Night" why not a "But I want BBQ Tonight Night" for us? Maybe call it "Solo Saturday" or "Manly Monday" - double up on the portion of pork - drown it in hot sauce and give us bibs.
Whitt's has always been one of my favorites when it comes to pulled pork. Consistent - moist and flavorful without being over the top smoky. The baked beans are great. The coleslaw is vinegar base, yet slightly sweet. Perfect with the BBQ. They are drive-thru only, but have tables outside for warmer climates. Wednesday nights they have single sandwiches at a reduced price. Maybe that night is set aside for us lonely guys while are wife's are together sipping wine and sampling cheese and oar durbs (I spelled that right, didn't I?) You know, those girly snacks they try to pass off as food that consist of crackers, a lot of cream cheese, some kind of chicken salad with grapes and decorated with a piece of greenery that you don't eat anyway. They need to substitute that chicken salad with a slice of brisket.
I know it's the norm now, but EVERYONE wants a tip. You know, when I pull up to a drive thru and order a sandwich, that took all of 30 seconds to assemble - what gives? You pay with your debit card and there - like 90% of all other places - is a space for a tip. 15% of $1.69 (on Wednesday night) is a quarter. Stop embarrassing us both. Bring cash - it reduces the awkwardness. The cashier won't ask if they can keep your change...maybe... -

I've stopped here twice over the past two weeks. Each time, the food was good, and so was the price. What is sub par is the service. Don't get me wrong, the service is fast enough, but the people just aren't friendly. On both visits, the girl at the register looked at me like I was an idiot for ordering a pulled chicken sandwich with only bbq sauce. It was a different girl each time, too. The girls weren't mean; they just weren't friendly. Food is good; quality of service needs to be improved. My patience has worn thin with bad customer service these days. Although I enjoyed the food, I won't be back.

Good food but it was hot and fresh.. But customer service was very lacking and the kitchen looked very dirty.. The whitts barbecue in Murfreesboro is much better

Decent bbq and all the other items are good too. My husband and I really love the smoked wings but the last few times we went to get some they always seem to be out or have little to none. I know they are good but you'd think they would cook more if they was getting sold like that!
